How It Works
SCAN: Assess Injury Risk & Fitness Status
In less than two minutes, we use force plate technology that scans and scores individual movements.Data is collected from three simple Scans, done together or independently, in 90 seconds or less. The scans measure unique movement qualities, compares each player to a database of more than 2 million scans, and auto-generates individual Movement Signatures instantly.
The suite of scans include:
1. Jump Scan: (Minimum required): Players simply jump on the plate, which provides an objective score. If the score is off benchmark, two additional scans can provide more detail; Three key variables make up the Movement Signature™ measured during the Jump Scan assessment that reflect an individual’s unique dynamic movement strategy. Load, Explode, and Drive represent a person’s ability to start, transition, and finish a movement, respectively
2. Balance Scan: Identifies areas of the body that need strengthening; The Balance Scan assesses an individual’s global balance, body awareness, and body control (proprioception), measured on each side. Balance ability is an indicator of health, lower injury risk, and fall risk, and can also be utilized during injury rehabilitation
3. Plank Scan: One-handed planks reveal weak areas; The Plank Scan assesses an individual’s core stability measured on each side. An individual’s ability to stabilize during the Plank Scan represents the overall strength, stability, and control of the connection between upper and lower body and is related to trunk, shoulder, head/neck, and groin injury risk.
With these scores, you can create custom training plans for each player to treat preexisting conditions, reduce future injuries and optimize player performance.
What You’ll Receive
We believe every athlete should have the best personalized performance information. Armed with scores based on objective measurements, players can gain insights on their current athletic performance and where they can improve.
Baseline Human Performance scores help athletes understand where they are strong, where they have potential for injury and what training programs will help them increase their scores – and their performance and safety.
